Afri-Grub Limited respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy applies to the Afri-Grub website and to our mobile applications, including the Afri-Grub customer app and the Afrigrub Driver app.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect:

• Name, email, phone number
• Delivery address
• Payment information, including bank account details used to pay delivery drivers
• Location data (see section 2)
• Photographs and verification documents (see section 3)
• Order history
• Device and usage data, including a push notification identifier

2. Location Data

The Afrigrub Driver app collects a driver's precise device location while the app is open and the driver is on delivery duty. Location is not collected when the app is closed or is not in use.

We use this location data to:

• Match drivers with, and assign them, delivery orders based on their proximity to restaurants and vendors.
• Provide navigation and estimated arrival times to pickup and drop-off destinations.
• Share a driver's live location during an active trip, so that the customer receiving the order, the vendor preparing it, and our dispatch team can follow delivery progress.

Before any location data is collected, the app displays an in-app disclosure explaining what is collected and why, and asks for consent. Location is only collected after that disclosure has been accepted and the location permission granted on the device. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by revoking the location permission for Afrigrub Driver in device settings; the app will stop collecting location immediately, although the driver will no longer be able to receive or complete delivery orders.

Location data is transmitted securely and is used solely for delivery operations, route optimisation, and driver safety. We do not sell location data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

3. Photographs and Verification Documents

Our apps allow you to take a photograph with your device camera, or select an existing image from your photo library, in order to set a profile picture and — for drivers — to supply documents required for verification. These images are uploaded to Afri-Grub and used only for account identification and verification purposes. We do not access your photo library other than for images you explicitly choose.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

• Process orders
• Facilitate deliveries
• Communicate with Users
• Improve services
• Prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process data based on:

• Contractual necessity
• Legal compliance
• Legitimate business interests
• User consent where required

6. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

• Vendors and Drivers to fulfil orders
• Customers and vendors, who are shown a driver's live location while their order is being delivered
• Payment processors
• IT and hosting providers
• Regulatory authorities when required by law

We do not sell personal data.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil contractual or legal obligations.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information. However, no system is completely secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion
• Restrict processing
• Withdraw consent

10. Deleting Your Account and Data

You may request deletion of your Afri-Grub account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

• In the app: drivers can open Account → My Profile → Delete Account and submit a deletion request.
• By email: send a deletion request to support@afrigrub.com from the email address registered to your account.

When your account is deleted we remove your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, profile photograph, verification documents, bank details, and stored location history. Records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes — such as completed order and payment records — are retained for the period required by law and then deleted. We will confirm completion of your request within 30 days.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyse platform performance.

Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
